If the Content Type icon on the left end of the row is green, this is unlicensed content from other users, that you can download for free and use any way you like. Downloading these files does not require a monthly subscription.

Premium Content (Gold CD Icon)

If the Content Type icon on the left of the row is gold, it is licensed media that can only be downloaded using a monthly subscription.

If you have an active monthly subscription, you can download as many premium tracks as you want, and play them as much as you want.

Purchased Content (Boxed Gold CD Icon)

When you purchase a song or album, you own it. This means you can listen to it even when you don’t have a valid subscription, and you can also burn it onto a CD or transfer it to your MP3 player.
