British pop sensation, Jessie J has sent us a list of her all time favorite pop songs, along side some current highlights (including this gem by Adele). The entire playlist is posted on the iMesh client – where you can download the entire thing, but we wanted to lure you in by highlighting this amazing, timeless piece of pop music by TLC.
West coast and G-Funk don, Nate Dogg, has sadly passed away this week. The voice behind countless Hip Hop and RnB hits will be missed. He collaborated with Snoop, 2 Pac, Dr Dre, 50 cent, The Game, Ludacris, and many others. However, Regulate, with Warren G is probably his best known track.
Despite throwing the rule book out of the window, every time English alternative band Radiohead releases a new album, it’s rapidly becoming a worldwide event.
Their new album King of Limbs is no different – announced just a few days before it became available online, the web was taken by storm by the new Oxford quintet offering.
Here’s the first video from the album, already watched by millions of people around the world.
A couple of weeks ago the music industry celebrated another year in business, and handed out a bunch of prizes to some of the most notable artists of 2010. As usual, there were unexpected winners and surprising moments, and this year, the biggest surprise is arguably indie-pop band, The Arcade Fire, winning album of the year with The Suburbs.
Eminem and Lady Gaga not won nearly as many Grammies as they hoped for, but didn’t go home empty handed either. Besides Arcade Fire, the other big winners of the night are no doubt country posters Lady Antebellum and jazz musician Esperanza Spalding, who overcame Justin Bieber and Drake as Best New Artist.
After a long break – 4 years means forever in Hip Hop terms – Lupe Fiasco is finally back. Chicago’s prodigal son has released 2 great albums in the middle of the previous decade, and then took a hiatus from the music industry.
His new singles doesn’t carry the same signature we got used to hear from Lupe, but we’re sure that the full album will deliver more smart lyrics, conscience messages and souped up beats.
Congratulations to Trent Reznor for winning the Oscar on his (and Atticus Ross) soundtrack for the movie The Social Network. Trent was on the forefront of music making for over 20 years now, and is mostly famous for his Nine Inch Nails project, so to celebrate his justified Oscar, here’s a beautiful gem from his first NIN album, Pretty Hate Machine. This one is called Something I Can Never Have. Well, obviously he’s not referring to a certain golden statute.
Dave Grohl is awesome. Seriously, he seems to be doing nothing wrong. Here’s another great new video and a great new song from the Foo Fighters, his terrific band.
The song, White Limo, is a teaser for an album released in April, produced by Butch Vig, who also produced a classic album for Grohl’s previous band, Nirvana.

Röyksopp, the brilliant duo from Norway, have posted a new song on their Soundcloud page. They actually say that this beautiful downtempo number was intended to be included on their seminal Melody AM album, but was eventually left out.
Here’s a stream of the track, and don’t forget 0 you can find other Röyksopp tracks on iMesh
