Singer, actress and X-Factor mentor, Demi Lovato turns 21 today, but don’t expect to see any pictures of her partying it up at an extravagant club in LA or Vegas. As a matter of fact Lovato isn’t even in the country. She is in Kenya. She isn’t there to have a big party either. She is on a trip with the organization Free The Children, volunteering with them to build a school. We are so happy that Lovato is doing such positive things in her free time.

Her career isn’t looking too shabby either. The former childhood star is supposedly closing a deal to appear on 6 episodes of Glee this season. She is also coming back to the X- Factor, where she is a judge and mentor. Here she is preforming on the show with Fifth Harmony.

Lovato is doing well with her music as well. This past year she released her album Demi which debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts. One of her biggest hits off the album is the single “Heart Attack” check out the video.
