The Strokes are back

Posted by DJ • January 25, 2011 at 09:33 AM

It’s been 10 years since The Strokes debut album, Is This It?, which brought back Rock’n'Roll through the front door.

It’s been a while since we heard anything new from the Strokes camp, and news is just in (via Twitter) that the band are finally completing their 4th studio album.

In the meantime, let us enjoy this classic piece of Strokes genius.

Back to the Future

Posted by DJ • December 22, 2010 at 01:21 PM

One of the biggest bands from the 80s are back, with their best effort in a long time. Duran Duran, ruled the charts on both sides of the atlantic, with their glamorous take on new wave and pop. Their new album was produced by the self proclaimed fan, Mark Ronson, who is mostly famous for his work with Amy Winehouse. Ronson managed to focus the band, and bring them close to the sound that made them so successful, almost 30 years ago, with albums like Rio and Seven and the Ragged Tiger.

New track By R.E.M

Posted by DJ • December 22, 2010 at 11:05 AM

Alternative rock veterans are back with a new track, released at the very end of 2010. The song is a vintage R.E.M track, with those thick, shimmering guitars and Michael Stipe’s elusive voice. The track also features Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam!) and Joel Gibb on vocals.
