Early Years

Breakthrough and Solo Album
The Game started recording his own songs and formed his record label. He recorded several mix tapes, which came to the notice of iconic rap producer Dr. Dre who immediately signed him on to Aftermath Records in 2003. On the behest of Dr. Dre he joined G-Unit which featured 50 Cents and Lloyd Banks. He was seen extensively on their videos and concerts. The idea was to grow his profile before he went solo.
In 2004 he released his first single “Westside Story” which charted in America but was not a huge hit. He released his first album produced by Dr. Dre called “The Documentary”. The album was critically hailed and it featured collaboration with Kanye West, Timbaland and even Eminem. The album reached No.1 in the US and has sold 6 million copies worldwide. He returned the nest year to release “Doctor’s Advocate” in 2006. The album featured production from Kanye West was actually released on Geffen records, due to a feud with 50 Cents which lead to his ouster from Aftermath. The albums music was hailed by the critics as one of his best. The album debut at No. 1 on the US charts but did not manage to hit platinum status.
Back to Interscope
Game started recording his third album with a host of producers. Even though he had announced that Dr. Dre would be producing the album that was not to be as Dr. Dre or his record label confirmed the same. The album was released in Aug of 2008 and it reached No.2 on the US charts and No.1 on the RnB and Rap charts. The album was his second Gold certification. He signed back with Interscope records as his deal with Geffen ended. The feud with 50 Cent seemed to have died down and recently a picture emerged on Snoop Doggs Twitter page showing Game recording with Dr. Dre after all these years
He has confirmed that he will release his next album called The R.E.D. Album in 2010
Other Ventures
Game has also tried venture out of Rap music by investing in other business interests. He has also acted in a few movies. Game has been nominated for two Grammy awards but with no wins yet.

Did You Know: In May 2007, he was arrested at his house for an incident where he threatened someone with a gun. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 150 hours of community service.
