The group who would go on to name themselves Ratt would form in the town of San Diego California in the early to mid 1980's. They would be a part of the hair bands that would invade the late 1980's and early 1990's and that would also be a part of what has been called the monster ballad era. The group would sing mostly about good times and rock n' roll and over their career would have both good times and bad.
