Their music passion gives today's gimmick knock offs nothing compared to what they dish out. They leave all other rock and roll bands behind with their new wave of music. The Starting Line
Pillar consists of a vocalist Rob Beckley, bassist Kalel, guitarist Noah Henson, and the drummer Lester Estelle. From all of their songs, there is a meaning behind them. Bring Me Down is a defiant song that is rich with energy and dynamics, and gives the listener a deep lashing, the music video that goes along with this song gives the fan a more open view of where it is coming from since it was shot at a state prison.
Underneath It All brings up the song with guitars, and hard rhythms, held up by a bold chorus. The band always is able to bring up passion when they sing their songs, it doesn't matter which song they sing, you can feel the passion, and feeling they deliver when singing it.
Their fourth record, Where Do We Go From Here released by Flicker Records, sends out a different musical approach. The best parts are the ones that are given for the most impact to the listener. This record includes songs such as Hypnotized and Aftershock, giving the songs with tempo shifts, melodies that are relentless, and a lot of attitude. The theme of the album relates to being pulled at from different directions, and with people who are always trying to boss you around. This album was co-produced with long time collaborator Travis Wyrick. It deals with the challenges that everyone has to face in their lifetime.
Moving on in the Career
They have had their frustrated moments in their career, but they take it out through their music to help their listeners relate to their feelings. They want their albums to be a motivator for their fans to go out, and achieve what they want out of life without someone telling them they can or cannot. Their other albums include their acoustic Broken Down album released in 2003. They have another album out, Above that came out in 2001. Both albums are regarded as inspiring, and uplifting.
They always write materials that are inspiring to the listener. When they were going through troubles with producing another album, they were inspired to write more songs to present. They did not give up, and came out with their albums. They put their songs into a more universal view, this way more people are able to relate to it. Since Beckley has served in the military prior to starting up with the band, he makes a lot of songs that relates to the war, this can include having his father stationed over seas during his father's term of service.
More Presently in the Career
Pillar was putting the group together full time in the beginning without having a record label; they were dedicated to making sure they made it. They met up together in Kansas in 1998. They even located to Oklahoma to get the most out of their singing career. Each music promoter sent their samples to Flicker Records who eventually signed the band on.
They set out on their See Spot Rock tour once they completed their new album. They played in main summer festivals before heading out to do their own headlining tour in the fall. They are hoping that their new album will hold as much promise as the next ones. They want their listeners to feel as impacted as they did before with previously albums.
