New Found Glory - The real thing
"New Found Glory is a band that people enjoy listening to not because we give off this harsh message. We write about who we are and what affects us in life and those are our relationships".

New Found Glory - from school to stage
Founders Jordan Pundik and Steve Klein became friends while both attended high school in Coral Springs, Florida and working together at Red Lobster. In 1997 they began writing music together, recruiting friend and former band-mate from Inner City Kids, Ian Grushka, Joe Moreno, and Chad Gilbert to join the newly named A New Found Glory. Practicing in a garage they recorded their first ep It's All About the Girls in a friend's apartment. Taco Joe Moreno left the project and was replaced by Cyrus Bolooki making the only member change in the band's history. Touring the East Coast they sold their entire inventory of the recording. The rapidly successful NFG was pursued and signed by Eulogy Records.
Their debut album Nothing Gold Can Stay, (1999), was sold while playing back-up for NOFX, garnering a very devout fan base. Drive-Thru Records signed the teen group and paid Eulogy for the rights to the album, selling over 300,000 copies. It was included in Alternative Press's 10 Classic Albums of '99. Debuting at #15 on the US Modern Rock Chart single Hit or Miss sent NFG on into the mainstream.
Just barely a year later their next release reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart with sophomore album New Found Glory,(1996) stayed on Billboard 200 for 21 weeks, was certified gold, and made the dropped "A" in their name official.
Fame and tours
New Found Glory headlined on the Warped Tour, performing in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007, did a supporting tour with Green Day, the Honda Civic tour, released their major-label debut Sticks and Stones (2002), singles My Friends Over You and Head On Collision seeing another Billboard 200 ranking and RIAA Gold album certification. 2004 saw single All Downhill from Here reach #11 on the Rock Chart and Catalyst peak at #3 on the Billboard 200, their best yet, selling over 145,000 copies within 8 days of release. At Least I'm Known for Something was included in EA's Burnout 3: Takedown and added another RIAA gold certification to their credits.
Leaning toward a classical rock style album five, Coming Home (2005), produced by Thom Panunzio, a complete diversion from their previous styles, with single It's Not Your Fault preceding the album and was received with positive feedback from the critics and hit Billboard at #19 even without label support.
Full length, 11 track, From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II (2007) and single Kiss Me was released with Drive-Thru Records. Signing with Epitaph, NFG's released their sixth studio album Not Without a Fight (2008), with single Listen to Your Friends (2008) music video filmed in LA. During the Not Without Tour an exclusive split ep with Shai Halud, Not Without a Heart Once Nourished by Sticks and Stones Within Blood Ill-Tempered Misanthropy Pure Gold Can Stay with just 500 copies available.
Still on the road
New Found Glory is still touring heavily and often. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their self-titled album, the worldwide commemorative tour's spring lineup is impressive. After missing the first 3 gigs of the tour due to thyroid surgery, NFG's Chad Gilbert announced he will be releasing free music downloads of his solo material at some point during the year.
