His musical talents were noticed at the early age of thirteen when his family heard him singing the Christmas carol White Christmas. His grandfather took particular notice of his talent and went on to book him at local nightclubs in the localized area.

Canadian Born

Michael Buble is a Canadian born singer from the city of Burnaby British Columbia. His musical talents were noticed at the early age of thirteen when his family heard him singing the Christmas carol White Christmas. His grandfather took particular notice of his talent and went on to book him at local nightclubs in the localized area. He would also pay for his singing lessons in hopes that the young man would get to realize his talents and become a star on the musical stage.

First Sessions

Michael Buble would go on to begin entering talent contests but would not get his first big break until he won the Canadian Youth Talent Search. Although Buble would go on to win the contest, he would have many upcoming years where his career would remain stagnant. He would take on many singing jobs such as hotel lounges, bars, cruise ships and one as a singing Santa Clause.

He would also appear in two episodes of the hit United States television series called The X Files. However, at the age of twenty five years old, he was almost ready to give up his dream of becoming a musical artist but little did he know, he was about to receive his first big break.

Lucky Circumstance

Michael Buble would receive his first career breakthrough in a number of surprising circumstances. Buble would sing at a business party, where his independent album would be purchased and sent on to Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, who would ask Buble to sing at his daughter’s wedding. At the wedding, Michael was introduced to a Grammy Award winning producer, thus, a career was about to be born.

However, Buble would move to Los Angeles to further his career and get signed to a major record label but this proved to be much work. With a lot of finagling and money changes hands here and there, Buble was finally signed to a deal to produce his first studio album. He would also do some acting during this time to help him with expenses of living in L.A.

First Studio Album

Michael Buble would release his first self titled album in 2003 under the 143 Records label. The style of music was more from the Rat Pack era and featured singles such as The Way You Look Tonight and For Once in My Life. The album would rocket to the top ten charts in Canada as well as the UK, and would reach number one in Australia. Buble was known for his stroll through the audience as he sang and many say this was representative from his cruise ship days.

He would go on to travel the world with his style that would include countries such as Singapore, South Africa, and many other countries throughout the world. He would go on later that year to release his first Christmas Album called Let It Snow that would gain much acclaim on many charts.  

Continued Success

Buble would go on to thrill adult contemporary audiences and would be slated for more television shows as well as a cameo appearance on the day time soap opera Days of Our Lives. He would go back to the studio to release his second album called It’s Time and was released in February of 2005. The album would go on to reach number one in Canada and Italy, as well as Japan where adult contemporary had gained much popularity over the last couple of years.
