Growing up in the state of California, Matt Nathanson would blend a style of rock n’ roll and folk that would be pleasing to thousands of fans alike. He is a singer and a song writer that plays mostly acoustic style music that he sometimes play with a full band as well as sometimes plays solo. He would attend Pitzer College in California and it is there that he met his band mate Mark Weinberg, whom would become a long time collaborator.
Beginning
Matt Nathanson would get his start at music in college where he would play at local bars and night spots around the area. He would create a small local following in the bars and clubs, who would be his start up fan base that would help him get the attention of larger record companies. He would produce his first album called Please in 1993. The album was sold to his local fans while he was playing his local events around California.
He has played with a number of musicians such as Matt Fish, a cellist who has gained fame through his breakthrough style. Nathanson has gained popularity over the last couple of years with many of his songs being used in television shows and on movie soundtracks. He has released a total of seven albums, with the release of one album in a live setting that was called At the Point.
Latest Release
The latest album released by Matt Nathanson is called Some Made Hope, which was released in 2007 on August the fourteenth. The album contains the song titled All We Are, which was used on the television hit show called NCIS and was on the episode titled Family. It was also featured in the television drama called One Tree Hill on two episodes. The ABC network also used his song called Come On Get Higher on the show Big Shots.
The television show Scrubs used Little Seasons for their episode called My Dumb Luck. He was the featured musical guest on the Late Late Show with Craig Fergusen. Nathanson would go on to play with his band on the Late Show With David Letterman as the featured musical guest and the band played the song Come On Get Higher and also performed the same song on the Ellen Degenerous show as well. Nathanson has also performed over the internet at Daryl Hall, which holds a monthly concert over the internet where he would perform Car Crash as well as many others.

Matt Nathanson continues to get his name known through many different avenues and his appearances on shows such as Late Night With David Letterman will continue to gain him the exposure that would afford him the fame that his many fans would like him to see.
