As a solo artist, Nick Jonas released two contemporary gospel singles and recorded a solo album that was never released. It wasn't until December of 2005, that the other brothers got their big break when they performed for Steve Greenburg, the president of Columbia Records. The Jonas Brothers signed a recording contract wit h Daylight/Columbia Records.

Their second single, “Time for Me to Fly,” was included on the soundtrack for Aquamarine. The Jonas Brothers also covered songs for the Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel. Their debut album, It's About Time was hit the market on August 8, 2006. They released their second album, the Jonas Brothers on August 7, 2007. This album peaked at #5 on the Hot 200.
