"I want to talk to the people that are going to be able to understand what I'm saying, instead of talking to people who really don't care about what I'm saying. It's like when Pac was alive. The streets were listening."

Starting Out
Jody Breeze, real name Jacoby White, started out seeing hip hop music as nothing more than a hobby. He was more interested in basketball and was an avid player himself as well as a die-hard Chicago Bulls fan. His dreams (as well as those of his family) of basketball greatness were sidelined when the 19 year old first got involved in the gangsta rap industry.
Very early on Breeze was introduced to established rap producer Jazze Pha after participating in a rap battle at a car show in Macon, Georgia with an associate of Pha's, Noonie. Breeze had been competeing at the events for weeks and had so far not been defeated. Breeze impressed Noonie so much that he was introduced to Pha that very same day. The two hit it off and Breeze has looked to him as a mentor ever since.
Boyz n da Hood
Boyz n da Hood got their start in 2003 out of Griffin, Georgia. The original four members included Young Jeezy, Jody Breeze, Big Gee and Duke. Their debut album Boyz n da Hood was released in 2005 under the Bad Boy, Block Entertainment label. The album was under the supervision of the legendary executive producer Sean Combs.
The first single off of the album was Dem Boyz which was their most popular single release peaking at #13 on the Billboard Rap charts. This was the only single the group had that made it to the charts. The song featured solos by Jody Breeze, Young Jeezy, and Big Duke.
Jeezy vs. Breeze
In 2005 Young Jeezy decided to leave Boyz n da Hood to start a solo career. He was soon replaced by fellow Atlanta, Georgia based rapper Gorilla Zoe. Years later in 2009, Jody Breeze released a song with video for his single Uptown. The lyrics of the song take quite a few not so subtle jabs at Young Jeezy. Breeze openly calls Jeezy a fraud and discredits his "street ties."
Soon after at a release party in Atlanta for the R&B artist Ciara, tensions reached a boiling point. Members representing Young Jeezy approached Breeze and the situation quickly escalated. Although things were calmed down before any violence occurred, the two sides have made their feelings for one another well known in different interviews.
Collaborations
Jody breeze has been making a name for himself with his gritty street life lyrics and infectious melodies. He has also been able to work on projects with most every name in the business he wants. He has worked alongside Sean Paul, Lil' John, Trick Daddy, Puff, pastor Troy, and Juvenile. The only artist he still wants to someday collaborate with at this point is Lil' Wayne.
Today
Jody Breeze has more than enough on his plate nowadays with albums upcoming both as a solo artist and as a member of the group Boyz n da Hood. On top of all of that, he recently welcomed his first child into the world, a daughter named Ja'kyla.
