The group was formed when two individuals would meet in philosophy class while attending New York University and would go on to form the band with original members Daniel Kessler, Greg Dudy, Carlos Dengler, and Paul Banks. The group would form an indie rock band in the late 1990's and would bring their style to audiences across the United States and many other countries of the world.
