Susan and Bob Duff welcomed their new daughter into the world on September 28, 1987 probably like many parents hoping that she would have a normal childhood and a chance to maybe one day do something spectacular. Little did they know that Hilary would have plans of her own, eventually having the adornment of millions of fans while her given birth name, Hilary Duff, posted at the top of billboard charts to holding television interviews talking about her success.

Fueling the Fire

While touring Cechetti Ballet at age six, Duff decided it was time for a career change. She quite the ballet in pursuit of an acting career and began to get her first shots with a television mini-series entitled "True Women." After her first taste in front of the camera, she went on to debut in supporting roles but eventually, in 1999 she got her first starring title in the made for television movie "The Soul Collector." From her work in "The Soul Collector," she won her first Supporting Young Actress Best Performance Award for her role as "Ellie." Paying her dues in smaller television based film, Hillary Duff afforded herself an audition that which led to her own show on Disney Channel/ABC Kids Show called "Lizzie McGuire." Duff played a 'Lizzie', which split her career into film acting as well as a pop singer.
