Finger Eleven

That's another reason the gear gets bigger too. Every record you make you've got new sounds and you need to have this to make that sound!

North of the Boarder

From the Canadian city of Burlington, Ontario, known to their earlier fans as the Rainbow Butt Moneys, the band would eventually release a number of albums and settling on titling themselves Finger Eleven. The group would go on to become world renowned releasing singles that would make it on many of the rock and pop charts throughout the world. A group that would form in high schools and gain a localized Canadian following would eventually have the adoration of fans young and old in many countries of the world.

Getting Started

After getting a good start from winning a radio contest in Canada, the group went to the studio and released their first full length album titled Letter from Chutney and begun their managed career from Coalition Entertainment. Now releasing a more serious sound and wanting to follow that aspect of their maturity, the group changed their name to Finger Eleven.

After the release of their first album and some localized touring to help support that album, the group went back into the studio to work on their second album, which would be released in Canada in 1997 and again in the United States in 1998. The album was titled Tip, created a more contemporary sound and would prove to be one of their best releases yet.

New Albums and Touring

Produced under the guise of Arnold Lanni, Finger Eleven would go on in 2000 to release the album The Greyest of Blue Skies, which would become highly successful in Canada being classified as gold by selling over fifty thousand cd’s. A self titled album was released in 2003 under their band name Finger Eleven. The album contained one super hit, One Thing, which propelled the group into the eyes of the main stream and reached the classification of a US Gold Album when it sold over five hundred thousand copies.

The single One Thing would read number sixteen on US Pop Charts and gained popularity from its television exposure on episodes such as Scrubs and Third Watch. It was also used a tribute to the late wrestler Chris Benoit. Their success from this album would gain them a tour in Europe, North American, as well as Australia where the band had a large following.

Recent and Up to Date

One March 6, of 2007, Finger Eleven released their most recent album called Them vs. You vs. Me. The first single on the album, Paralyzer, would become the band’s most successful song and reached the top ten level of the US Hot 100 as well as later on that year reaching the number one spot in Canada. More television exposure was afforded to the group when they were asked to play The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in which they played their single Paralyzer. The National Hockey League had the group to play at their annual awards in June of 2007.

One of the band’s coolest moments came when Finger Eleven played on the US battleship the USS New Jersey. After such success with their albums and singles, the band has been extensively touring throughout the globe and in 2008 played at the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas Nevada. Eventually the album Them vs. You vs. Me won the Juno Award under the category Rock Album of the Year in 2008. Some of the groups music may be available as a free music download or for internet viewing at the least.
