First Albums
The group would release their first full length album called Level on the record label Carnival Records in 2005. During this same time, they were opening up shows for the country music singer Miranda Lambert. Their bit of national exposure came from the Country Music Television network, which afforded the group a following other than those that they had gained from opening up for Miranda Lambert. The band would release their next album Eli Young Band: Live At the Jolly Fox, which is a venue located in the town of Huntsville, Texas. The band has continued to tour and began gaining ground after signing a deal with the company Monterey Peninsula Artists paradigm, which would allow them more area to gain exposure.
More Touring
The group would sign a deal with George Couri and C3 management is 2007, which would afford them even more space to tour giving them more venues to play as well as a more hectic schedule. The group will open up for country music stars such as Pat Green, Robert Earl keen, and Jack Ingram and will also have a line on the country music television show Austin City Limits Music Festival. Song writing has always been top priority with the group and they have been taking time off every now and then to head out to the Young family ranch to gather and push around ideas.
The band would begin working on their new album in 2008 and produce the album called Jet Black & Jealous that would be released in 2008, which contained the single When It Rains. The song When It Rains would grab the country music charts where it would climb to number thirty four and remain on the charts for more than thirty weeks. The second single off of the album would be called Always the Love Songs would later be released and reach number eleven of the country music pop charts to date. The band would go on to be nominated for Academy of Country Music Award under the category of Top New Vocal Group of Duo although they would not win losing out to the singer Zac Brown.
They have also been nominated for the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards for Top New Vocal group and will appear on the forty fifth American Country Music Awards.
