Growing up in Rockdale County would prove to be a positive circumstance for the group Cartel because they may not have met one another to form the popular pop group that exists today if they had not been from the same area. The group would form while the members were attending Georgia State University and would release their first EP shortly after their formation on The Militia Group record label. The EP would be called The Ransom. This first EP would be enough to get them started and would go on to soon release their first album.
