Avant which is his last name, was born Myron Avant on April 26, 1978, in Cleveland, Ohio. Avant is the youngest of six children and the only boy. At the age of five, he saw his uncle, the late Andrew Pittman, perform and he said since then he wanted to be like him someday. At the age of fourteen, he decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the music industry.
