Still in high school and at the ages of 17, the band had already completed recording there debut EP and first full length album The Party Scene released in August 2005. Their relentless attitude, work ethic, daily four hour practices, and weekends spent traveling around the country performing for anyone who will listen; has resulted in greatness. The album A fixture in the Smartpunk made it to the Top 20 sales list, which is amazing, considering they did so without the help of a national distributor.
All Time Low- Getting Serious
The band started to get serious in 2006, in their senior year of high school and was signed to Hopeless Records before graduating. From that time, they were put on a busy tour schedule and the EP Put Up or Shut Up was released later that year. That record was the first for the band, to make the charts and peaked at number 20 on the US Top Independent Albums chart. It also went onto the number 12 spot, on the Top Heatseekers Chart. Put up or Shut Up featured newly recorded versions of the songs from their last album, along with two new tracks. After, they finished touring extensively and promoting the album, they got back to work and began recording their second full-length studio album.
In 2007, So Wrong, It's Right; All Time Low's second album became their most successful, commercially. It peaked at number 62 on Billboard 200 and number 6 on Top Independent Albums chart. "Dear Maria, Count Me In", the second single from the album took the number 86 spot on the Pop 100 chart. Following the release of that album, the group rapidly gained popularity and made their TRL debut on February 12, 2008. Then on March 7, 2008, they made their first television debut on Jimmy Kimmel live, at the MTV Woodie Awards.
Working towards Success
The band began to record their third album, although, it was still in the writing phase in January 2009. It was titled Nothing Personal and was released on July 7, 2009. However, prior to the official release of the album; it was available for download through MTV's The Leak. Billboard magazine predicted that this album could be part of the top ten of the Billboard 200 in its debut week and that it will make anywhere from 60,000 to 75,000 copies. Sure enough, Nothing Personal debuted at number four and 63,000 copies were sold. This album was the first of the group's which was also released in the UK on September 14.
The unreleased song "Toxic Valentine" was featured on the soundtrack of the 2009 film Jennifer's Body. Surely, the band is here to stay and will continue to share their versatility with the world.
